Legal Track

History

The firm, Legal Track, was established in November 2002 by Piet Koen.

The first large assignment, entailed Piet Koen to be involved with receiving of certain debts and the administration and management of problem holdings which the relevant bank had in it’s possession and which was received shortly afterwards from the curator of a bank. Because of Piet’s vast experience and knowledge of most bank activities, it was also requested that Piet must be involved with other aspects of the curator’s duties.

Thereafter different banks, as well as individuals, entrusted Piet and his very highly successful team at Legal Track with their recovery problems. Legal Track was so successful that in 2006, they were forced to obtain larger premises and offices. We presently have our own building in Brackenfell, Cape Town.

During his career in banking, Piet Koen was promoted to the level of Chief Director. His vast experience and responsibilities among other management risks included: the managing and recovery of arrears, bad debts, problem holdings, executing of auctions, estates, insolvencies etc. He was also involved with various, persevering investigations and other senior management affairs.

A credit and debt collectors manual was one of many inputs in this area of risk management that he created.

Over the years, Piet built up a nationwide network of competent role models. Legal Track is at present in the unique situation that it can do nationwide cases from their offices in Brackenfell, Cape Town. Some of the competent and experienced personnel have been Piet’s colleagues for many years. Piet places a very high premium on results and exceptional duty to clients.

His philosophy of friendly, but firm, handling of a debtor is a winning recipe for both client and the debtor and it is also a pleasant experience to do business with Legal Track Financial and Collections Services.
